It is true that many people think they should not squat or lunge, but that they only need to walk to
reach their maximum health and vitality.
The truth is that we all should be very close to our primal movements since the physiology of our
body is made from them and for them:
- Squat
- Lunges
- Pushing
- Pulling
- Twisting
- Walking
- Running
These are movements that we perform everyday. For example: When you sit down, you squat. When
you are going to get in your car, you lunge, twist and throw your self into your seat. When you open door,
you push or pull to go in.
The truth of the matter is that when we don’t move properly and in good form, the body begins to ache
only to activate a chemical response that will lead to negative thoughts and eventually will show in the
body. Our survival reflexes are challenged when this takes place and we are not capable of moving the
body with the flow that it should.
Our thoughts will cause a chemical response throughout the body only to remind us that our body is
all connected and that should be recognized as a whole. For example, when we look in the mirror
and think we are fat, that thought will cause a hormonal responses that eventually goes back to what
we just saw in the mirror and if we don’t do something about it, that thought will come back in the form
of pain. It is a loop of negativity that contributes to the importance of moving properly, and to be in
optimum balance when it comes to Primal Movements.
Our bodies were made with the intentions of gathering food. Keep in mind that the human genome
changes 1/10 of 1% every one hundred thousand years. With that said, our physiology is the same
as two thousand years ago. So why are we changing eating habits and including machine training
to an organism (body) that is prepared to fight gravity and exercise regularly using free activity.
Have you ever heard the saying; “the body never lies” or “the body is the mind talking”. There we
have it, the triad of health.
